Although we have said this for each of the 4 years since we started, this year has been incredibly exciting, surpassing my good friend and Co-founder Will Campion’s and my expectations. We’ve surpassed 1.7 million global downloads and have officially released over 160 episodes since starting the podcast in 2020.

Honoured Guests

In the last few months, I’ve been lucky enough to feature Scott Bessent, Trump’s appointed Secretary of the Treasury, Cliff Asness of AQR, Colm Kelleher of UBS, David Schwimmer of LSEG, Mark Delaney of Australian Super, Ann Davies of BP, Marcie Frost of CalPERS and many more. We’ve also had the privilege of hosting some of the most significant figures within geopolitics, such as former UK Prime Minister, Sir Tony Blair, and General Patrick Sanders, just retired head of the British army.

Alongside this variety of conversations on our main channel, we also developed our ‘Money Maze Curated Podcasts’ series, a spin-off show aimed specifically at professional investors and lasering in on specific investment approaches.  These episodes offer detailed investment conversations, typically when the firms are seeking to raise their profile.

On this channel this year, we’ve hosted the likes of Samantha Ricciardi, CEO of Santander Asset Management, Chris Dale, CIO of Kintbury Asset Management, and Co-Founders of Arcus, Peter Tasker and Mark Pearson.

We recently launched our newest initiative, Money Maze Multilingual. This is our spin-off channel for non-English speakers where we feature a select number of episodes which have been dubbed and translated into other languages, while maintaining the original voices of both myself and our guest. Languages currently featured include French, Spanish, and Arabic, with the intention to also publish episodes in more languages in future.

As well as our spin-off shows, we have a Corporate Partnership programme, through which we now host several events throughout the year. This involves assembling a very small group via intimate events, including dinners and talks. Our dinner a with Nicolai Tangen of the Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, with some of Europe’s’ key allocators and managers invited, was one of the highlights.

Our Corporate Partners also have the opportunity to feature on our Money Maze Curated Podcast spin-off series and have the additional benefits of joining our network. We have been delighted to welcome firms such as Lansdowne Partners, Tikehau Capital, Prosek, Freshfields and CapGen to this community in 2024.

Ecosystems & Collaborations

Our mission here at the Money Maze Podcast, has and always will be to share, educate, and simplify the world of business and finance for our listeners & viewers, be they professionals within the field, investors managing their own assets, or beginners with no experience looking to learn and become better informed.

In pursuing the fulfilment of this mission, we wanted to make our channel free and accessible to anyone and everyone. So, with that in mind, I’d like to extend a huge thank you to our four sponsors, Schroders, World Gold Council, IFM Investors, and now LSEG, who recently joined our sponsorship programme this October. With the support of our sponsors, the Money Maze Podcast has been able to continue running the podcast without a paywall.

Education & Opportunity

We also support 10 university business & finance societies, helping students who want to develop skills and knowledge and to propel them forward if they pursue careers in finance. These societies include Trinity College Student Management Fund, UCL Investment Society, 93% Club Warwick, LSE Business & Investment Group, University of Nottingham Finance Society, Cambridge University, Edinburgh University Trading & Investment Club, and both finance societies at Universities of Birmingham, Durham and Exeter. In addition to offering finance content without a paywall to students, we also invite a select few to our summer intern scheme, further supporting skills and networking for those involved.

So we’d like to also offer a very special shoutout to our 2024 interns, who worked passionately and tirelessly to assist us in the growth and development of our podcast. So, to Jon Li, Ida Bridgeman, Clemmie Meadon, Anton Shirt, Sebastian Williams Leadbetter, Ewan Webb, Sam Webber, Jessica Diggle, Ciaran McLain, Tom Beggs, and Archie Gray, thank you for your hard work and dedication.

To further our educational mission, we’ve now launched Money Maze Learn, a dedicated section on our website categorising previous episodes into specific silos to make it easier for students to navigate the show by screening for their preferred topics.

Our investment in video has been considerable as we seek to reach new viewers in different formats. Using YouTube as our principal platform, we wanted to offer audiences the choice of a visual experience as they watch the full episodes and can put faces to the voices they hear. We also now feature video episodes on Spotify too.

For those who listen whilst out with their dogs, bikes or on planes, trains and automobiles, please be sure to check us out there, and on all other social media platforms. We’re on LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. Check out our YouTube channel too.

If you’d like to suggest any guest ideas for the podcast in 2025, you can email us at info@moneymazepodcast.com and we can look into featuring your ideas.

With that, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. See you next year!
